Copyright Policy: Any reproduction or theft of our original artwork is strictly prohibited and will result in legal action.

Printing method and Fabric content: Our fabric is digitally printed. Our stripes are yarn dyed and knitted to order specifications. All fabric types offered by DMF at this time are exempt. Digitally printed fabric is approximately 60” wide including selvage. You are guaranteed 56”of usable fabric. All additional width received is free.

All Sales are final.

Pre-Order Timeline: Estimated print production for each round is between 8-12 weeks and will be shipped from the printer to the group owner. Fabric will then be cut down, packaged and ready to ship within 1 week of arrival on average. If these circumstances ever change due to volume, you will be notified via our facebook group.

Refunds: For all issues, contact a DMF admin immediately before washing or cutting your fabric. You must return your fabric within 5 days of resolution to receive a refund/exchange. Timelines are important to maintain stock availability.

Refunds/replacements/discounts offered within 1 week of receiving your fabric for any of the following reasons:

  • Your fabric was shorter than 36" per yard before washing.
  • Your fabric had undisclosed atypical flaws NOT along the selvage that prevent normal use.

Yards are cut long to compensate for off the bolt shrinkage. If you have an issue with your fabric cut(s), please contact an admin within 3 days of receipt prior to washing or cutting the fabric. We do not cover any fabric that has been washed, cut down or made into items. We will ask for photos to be provided. Please contact any of the admins of Dark Matter who will relay your concerns for a resolution.

In the event of a return and replacement resolution for errors made by host, DMF agrees to cover return and replacement standard shipping to the original address in the order. If expedited shipping is used by the customer in a return, only standard shipping will be refunded/credited per policy.

Flaw Disclosure: Digitally printed, small run custom fabric may have flaws close to the selvage, tiny speckles or white dots throughout the fabric. We will not issue refunds or discounts for this. We work to find out of spectrum flaws while cutting, but some are very small, minor and easily missed due to volume. We guarantee fabric that is 56" wide. We print on fabric that is typically 58-60" wide. If you can cover the flaw with a quarter, a refund/discount or exchange is not offered.

Flaws include: small dots, white marks, ink runs, tiny holes from factory processing. It is very unlikely that you will receive fabric with flaws outside the norm, but I am human and may miss issues from time to time. Contact an admin with concerns if you receive fabric with flaws that fall outside of this normal parameter of expectations. If you do receive fabric with flaws outside of the norm, such as a run or a pulled thread, we will typically issue our standard rate for flawed fabric which is a $2 off flat refund. If you receive shorter than ordered yardage we will issue a calculated refund per inch missing based on either pre-order or retail price depending on your individual order. If fabric is unusable quality, we will offer an exchange if inventory permits or offer a return and refund.

Mild color variations from the strike offs to the bulk order are not uncommon. There can be a color variation of 5%-10% difference from the strike off and occasionally between rolls in the bulk order. This is not uncommon or considered a flaw. Noticeable color changes outside of this parameter will always be disclosed.

Colors: During an open round, digital images and actual fabric strike offs (samples) will be shared in the group. In our Photo section, you may click and follow the print album during the round to see the samples in action. Please acknowledge that all digital media samples are computer created files. Colors may translate differently in the finished fabric. When purchasing, look at the strike offs for guidance on what to expect when your order arrives. Yard dyed stripes do not have samples as they have to be custom knitted, but we usually will share the colored yarns selected during the open order window.

Important Note about Shrinkage:
We have designed our table to cut 39" yards to allow for fabric settling off of the bolt. We also cut test yards of every print to set aside and measure again a week later to check actual shrinkage. Generally we are only losing 2-2.5 inches maximum per 39" cut. We do these tests for quality control and to be aware of how our fabric is actually performing. Because of this, if we receive messages with abnormal reported length loss we will ask for photos before we process calculated refunds. If we have not been able to reproduce the same result in house we will have concerns about the report validation. As always we encourage reporting order issues, but please note that we do have standards in place to ensure quality expectations are met for our customers. Please keep in mind, our fabric is both cotton and contains spandex so shrinking is normal and is expected. Fabric can continue to shrink over time. If you are ordering yardage in large bulk orders such as a co-op group, it is always suggested to order one additional yard to cover fabric settling during transit time and to allow additional inches for cutting down the fabric once it arrives to you.

USPS/Shipping Important Notes:
Damage caused by USPS is not our responsibility. We will do everything to secure your package properly before leaving our hands. If you wish to purchase shipping insurance, please leave a note at checkout to be invoiced. USPS provides up to $50 insurance with all priority mail options. Please keep in mind that I am not responsible for package handling once they are shipped.
We do not cover packages that say delivered (excluding if your package was delivered but is missing fabric). You are expected to provide an up to date shipping address at all times. We have a form in the file section should a move happen between rounds and you need to adjust the address.

Paypal Disputes: Any PayPal dispute filed without first contacting our admin(s) team via PM in attempts to reach a resolution will result in all current orders being cancelled/refunded, the immediate removal from our facebook group and blocked transactions moving forward via the website.
